Home | Dry Needling Therapy

On your first visit, Dr. Fishkin will consult with you personally to identify and understand your symptoms and discuss treatment options. Our strategy at the Fishkin Center is to explore alternatives to surgery and pain medication. Dry Needling therapy helps by targeting trigger points and tight muscles, reducing pain, improving blood flow, and restoring normal movement. It is effective for relieving muscle tension, addressing chronic pain conditions, correcting muscular imbalances, and promoting faster recovery from injuries and postural dysfunctions.

Dry needling therapy is a highly effective treatment for restoring mobility and managing pain by targeting myofascial trigger points, tight muscle bands, and dysfunctional tissue. By inserting thin, sterile needles into these trigger points, dry needling therapy helps release muscle tension, improve blood flow, and stimulate the body's natural healing process. This technique promotes relaxation of tight muscles, reducing stiffness and improving range of motion, making it particularly beneficial for individuals recovering from injuries, surgery, or chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Additionally, dry needling therapy enhances neuromuscular function by resetting dysfunctional movement patterns, which can prevent future injuries and improve overall mobility.

In terms of pain management, dry needling therapy provides relief by disrupting pain signals and stimulating the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers. It effectively treats conditions such as tension headaches, neck and back pain, tendinitis, and joint pain by reducing inflammation and decreasing nerve hypersensitivity. Unlike medications that may only mask pain, dry needling therapy addresses the root cause by targeting muscle dysfunction and restoring normal tissue function. When combined with other rehabilitative therapies, such as physical therapy and stretching, dry needling therapy accelerates recovery and allows patients to regain an active, pain-free lifestyle more efficiently.
